Web Summit 2025: Pitching Youzu on the German Park Stage

Web Summit 2025 — German Park Pitch

The longer cousin of the pitch battle. We took the German Park stage at Web Summit, hosted by Startup Germany e.V. and the de:hub Initiative, and got to spend a few extra minutes walking through the platform end to end.

The opener

"E-commerce has been developed in the same way for the last 20 years. Static images, a search button, a product description. That's it. We're trying to make e-commerce a little more fun."

From there, the pitch walks through the three sets of tools.

Discover

"I think everyone is familiar with Google Lens. We developed the same technology specifically for e-commerce. We call it Youzu Lens — visual search that matches a picture against the product catalog of any retailer."

Visualize: room intelligence

"We help furniture marketplaces design and redesign their spaces. We find all the objects in a room, recommend products from the catalog, and let users actually fill the space with what they've added to their basket."

And the move that always gets the room: Youzu Swap. A customer picks the red sofa they liked. One click later it's the green one — in the same room, same lighting, same shadows.

Engage

"We turn 2D flat product images into interactive 3D. And we add and remove backgrounds for products. These are really, really nice statistics for e-commerce."

The closing line

"We are the only complete visual commerce platform in the world right now. There are competitors — but they offer point solutions. We offer the whole thing."

Short, dense, and the version of the pitch we'll keep iterating on.
